 Configuring Mac OS X Mail
Solution The Mac Mail application is located in the applications folder of your hard drive and can also be started from your Dock. The icon looks like a postage stamp.

  1. Go to the "Mail" menu and select "Preferences"

  2. On the Accounts option, select "Add Account"
    • On the Account Information tab, select "POP" from the Account Type menu

    • Add a description for your account

    • Enter the email address

    • In the Full Name field, put the name you would like people you send email to see

    • For "Incoming mail server", type: pop3.yourdomain.com


    • In the User name field, type the email address for this account

    • Then type in the password associated with this email account

  3. Click on the dropdown menu for for "Outgoing server" and select "New server"
    • Enter: smtp.yourdomain.com
      and the port setting should be 25

  4. Click OK to close that window and OK again to save the Accounts settings
